Replaces dialysis, chemical precipitation, and lyophilization in the following applications: concentrating and desalting proteins and nucleic acids; buffer exchange or salt removal of chromatography eluates and gradient fractions; separation of biomolecules from cell culture supernatants; virus concentration or removal; crude fractionation of dilute protein mixtures; purification and clarification of tissue homogenates; and removal of debris and particulates from cell lysates

Nonsterile. May be sanitized by filtering 70% ethanol through the device prior to use. Requires swinging bucket rotor that accepts 250mL bottles.

Concentrates 60mL volumes to 5mL in less than 30 minutes. Sealing mechanism prevents solution bypass or cross-contamination. Built-in dead stop prevents spinning to dryness. Available with low-protein binding Omega™ (modified polyethersulfone) membrane inserts. Starter kits and accessories are reusable.
