These flasks have a conical shape, and are supplied with a polypropylene screw cap equipped with a PTFE liner. Caps have a screw thread finish. The standard specifications for Erlenmeyer flasks are defined in the standards; ASTM E1404, DIN 12385, ISO 1773, ISO 4797, and ISO 24450.

Erlenmeyer Flasks are used to measure, mix, or hold fluids, chemicals, or culture media. They may also be used with other culturing techniques.
