| Description | The PON1 Antibody (4G8D3) from Novus Biologicals is a mouse monoclonal antibody to PON1. This antibody reacts with human. The PON1 Antibody (4G8D3) has been validated for the following applications: Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, ICC/IF (Negative). PON1 (aka Paraoxonase-1) is an arylesterase, mainly hydrolyzing paroxon to produce p-nitrophenol. Paroxon is an organophosphorus anticholinesterase compound that is produced in the body by oxidation of parathion. Polymorphisms in PON1 are a risk factor in coronary artery disease and are also the required enzyme for clopidogrel bioactivation, with its common Q192R polymorphism determining the rate of active metabolite formation. |
