Product Name | SHP 2, aa224-529, protein tyrosine phosphatase, catalytic domain, Recombinant, Human |
Description | Purity > 95% by SDS-PAGE. SHP/SHPTP are tyrosine phosphatases which contain SH2 domains. SHP 1/SHPTP is expressed primarily in hematopoietic cells, and binds specific phosphotyrosine residues, often in ITIM motifs. SHP 1 is a down-regulator of receptor signaling and inhibits activation of macrophages, B-cells, T-cells, and mast cells. Motheaten mice harbor a mutation in SHP 1, which leads to progressive inflammation. SHP 2 has a broader expression pattern, and appears to promote cell proliferation and differentiation. Additionally, SHP 2 regulates cell spreading and migration in a manner similar to FAK, suggesting that the two act together to dynamically remodel focal adhesions. Catalytic domain (aa224-529) of SHP 2 MW: 33.5kD Specific Activity: ~3u/ug. Unit Definition: One unit will hydrolyze 1nmol p-nitrophenyl phosphate per minute at pH 7.4 and 30°C Assay buffer: 50 mM HEPES, pH 7.4, 2 mM EDTA, 3 mM DTT, 100 mM NaCl, 50mM pNPP. Application: Sutiable for use in Enzyme Kinetics, Regul |
