| Product Name | GSK3 beta, Recombinant, Human, His-Tag (Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 beta) |
| Description | Purified (~70-90%). GSK3beta is a serine threonine protein kinase that was originally identified as the kinase that phosphorylates and inhibits glycogen synthase. GSK3beta is ubiquitously present in human tissues and implicated in the regulation of several physiological processes, including the control of glycogen and protein synthesis by insulin, modulation of the transcription factors AP-1 and CREB. Transient transfection of human GSK3beta into Chinese hamster ovary cells stably transfected with individual human tau isoforms leads to hyperphosphorylation of tau at all the sites investigated with phosphorylation-dependent anti-tau antibodies. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human GSK3 beta fused to His-Tag at N-terminal expressed in Insect cells. Molecular Weight: ~48kD Specific Activity: 168nmol/min/mg as per activity assay protocol. Endotoxin: <1EU/ug (LAL) |
