| Description | Purity ≥ 95% by HPLC. Telomycin is a complex high molecular weight depsipeptide discovered in 1958. The structure was subsequently solved in 1968. Telomycin possesses potent and highly selective activity against Gram positive bacteria both in vitro and in vivo when given by intramuscular administration. Orally, telomycin is thought to be poorly absorbed. Despite its structural novelty, telomycin has received little attention.
