| Description | The NT-proBNP (N-Terminal Pro-Brain Natriuretic Peptide) BioAssay™ ELISA Kit (Human) is a quantitative sandwich assay for the detection of NT-proBNP in human serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Cell lysates and tissue homogenates, though not tested, may potentially be used as samples. Detection Range: 39.063-2500pg/ml Sensitivity: <23.438pg/ml Precision: Intra-Assay CV: <8% Inter-Assay CV: <10% Assay Principle: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to NT-proBNP. Standards and samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells followed by a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to NT-proBNP. Streptavidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain NT-proBNP, Biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Streptavidin complex will exhibit a change in color.
