| Description | Purified (SDS-PAGE). Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins (14-15kD) that bind long chain fatty acids, their CoA derivatives, billiruben, organic anions and other small hydrophobic molecules. L-FABP (or FABP-1) is found predominantly in liver and is believed to be involved in the regulation of lipid transport and metabolism and is required for cholesterol synthesis and metabolism. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-127 from human L-FABP, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. |
