| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). IL1RN is found in the conditioned medium of a variety of cells and is produced by macrophages, monocytes, and neutrophils. The soluble form of IL1RN has been shown to be produced by hepatocytes and to be regulated by pro-inflammatory cytokines. It may help in the treatment of sepsis, cachexia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic myelogenous leukemia, asthma, psoriasis, and inflammatory bowel disease. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human IL1RN expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~17kD Biological Activity: The ED50 was determined by the ability to inhibit the IL-1 alpha mediated cell proliferation in a murine helper T cell line, for this effect, in the presence of 50pg/mL of IL-1 alpha, is typically 20-60ng/mL.
