| Description | MCP-1, also known as monocyte chemotactic and activating factor (MCAF), was initially purified based on its ability to chemoattract monocytes. Subsequent to its cloning and sequencing, it became evident that this protein is also identical to the product of the human JE gene. The JE gene, originally identified in mouse fibroblasts, is a platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)-inducible gene. Sample Type: Cell culture supernatants, serum, plasma, and tissue Intended Use: The Mouse MCP-1 BioAssay™ ELISA Kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative detection of Mouse MCP-1 concentrations in cell culture supernatants, serum, plasma, and tissue. Sensitivity: 2pg/ml Range: 250-3.9pg/ml Specificity: Recognizes mouse MCP-1. Sample Volume: 100ul/well Test Principle: This assay employs the Sandwich immunoassay technique. An anti-m MCP-1 monoclonal coating antibody is adsorbed onto microwells. MCP-1 present in the sample or standard binds to antibodies adsorbed to the microwells. |
