| Description | The three individual control immunogenic NmU peptides do not share significant sequence homology with each other. Since the antibodies are made to a mixture of NmU peptides, the antibodies have reactivity with mouse, rat and human NmU as confirmed by ELISA using full length NmU from the respective species. Control peptide, because of the small size (2-3kD), is not recommended for Western. It should be used in ELISA or antibody blocking experiments (use 5-10 ug of peptide per 1 ug of aff pure or 1 ul of antiserum) to demonstrate antibody specificity. Full length rat 23-aa NmU, human 25-aa and mouse 23-aa NmU are also available to study antibody reactivity by ELISA. |
