| Description | Recognizes human Properdin. Epitope specificity differs from that of clone 6F181, but slightly overlaps as determined by inhibition ELISA.Reacts strongly with Properdin isolated from human plasma when tested in sandwich ELISA. Very low reaction is seen with plasma from patients deficient in Properdin when used as a capture and detection antibody. Works equally well in ELISA with purified Properdin coated directly onto the microtiter well. Reacts with Properdin in both reduced (subunits of 25kD and 56kD) and unreduced forms (220kD) in Western Blot after SDS-PAGE. |
