| Description | Purity >98%. Ganetespib is a resorcinol-based second generation inhibitor of heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) that demonstrates an IC50 value of 4 nM in cells. It induces growth inhibition and apoptosis of both hematologic and solid tumor cells (EC50 values range from 2 to 20 nM). Ganetespib causes rapid degradation of Hsp90 client proteins, resulting in an irreversible commitment to apoptosis. It is effective in vivo, producing significant growth inhibition or regression in solid tumor and hematological xenograft models. |
