Phosphoglucomutase, Rabbit, Liquid (E.C. 5.4.2.2, IUB 5.4.2.2, Phosphoglucomutase-1, PGM1, PGM-1, Glucose Phosphomutase 1, alpha-D-Glucose-1,6-Bisphosphatase, alpha-D-Glucose-1-Phosphate Phosphotransferase ). Phosphoglucomutase (PGM) interconverts the 1- and 6-phosphate isomers of alpha-D-glucose. Although it is a reversible reaction, the formation of glucose-6-phosphate is markedly favored. PGM will not convert beta-D-glucose-1-phosphate or beta-D-glucose-6-phosphate.
