| Description | Detects a ~46-50kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of the proform of caspase-9 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots, in samples from human, mouse, rat, hamster, rabbit, bovine, porcine and canine. In apoptotic cells, the antibody also Detects a ~36kD protein corresponding to the processed large subunit of caspase-9. Following the induction of apoptosis and the appearance on immunoblot analysis of the large subunit band, a concurrent reduction in the amount of the procaspase-9 enzyme is detected. |
