| Description | The rat sequence is not well conserved in HO-1 or HO-2. HO-3 sequences form other species are not yet available. It is not clear if HO-3 is expressed in various tissues and species. Control peptide, because of the small size (2-3kD), is not recommended for Western. It should be used in ELISAor antibody blocking (use 5-10 ug control peptide per 1 ug of IgG or 1 ul of antiserum) experiments to demonstrate antibody specificity. |
