| Description | Purity >98%. Cyclic AMP is an important intracellular signaling mediator that is generated in humans by nine membrane-bound and one soluble adenylyl cyclases (ACs), each with distinct regulation and expression patterns. NKY80 is a cell-permeable AC inhibitor that demonstrates potent selectivity for type V over the type II and III isoforms (IC50 s = 8.3 µM, 1.7 mM, and 132 µM, respectively in the presence of Gs Alpha GTPGammaS-forskolin). Its mechanism of inhibition is non-competitive with respect to ATP or forskolin and tissue selective for the AC catalytic activity in heart and lung tissues. |
