| Description | Purity ~97% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC). Eotaxin-2 is a CC chemokine that signals through the CCR3 receptor. It is produced by activated monocytes and T lymphocytes. Eotaxin-2 selectively chemoattracts cells expressing CCR3 including eosinophils, basophils, Th2 T cells, mast cells, and certain subsets of dendritic cells. Additionally, Eotaxin-2 inhibits the proliferation of multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cells. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse Eotaxin-2/CCL24, a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 93aa, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~10.3kD (93aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract murine lymphocytes using a concentration range of 10-100ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10e4IU/mg.
