May also modulate vesicle budding and uncoating within the Golgi apparatus. Involved in the regulation of dendritic spine development, contributing to the regulation of dendritic branching and filopodia extension. Functions as an allosteric activator of the cholera toxin catalytic subunit, an ADP-ribosyltransferase.
