| Description | Oxytocin (OXT) is a mammalian neurohypophysial hormone. Produced by the hypothalamus and stored and secreted by the posterior pituitary gland, oxytocin acts primarily as a neuromodulator in the brain. Sample Type: Serum and plasma Intended Use: The kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of Oxytocin in mouse serum, plasma; and other biological fluids not being tested. Sensitivity: 80pg/ml Range: 0.024-100ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse oxytocin. Precision: Intra CV<10%; Inter CV <15% Test Principle: The immunoplate in this kit is pre-coated with secondary antibody and the nonspecific binding sites are blocked.
