| Description | The Lactoferrin (LTF) BioAssay™ ELISA Kit is a quantitative sandwich assay for the detection of LTF in human serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Cell and tissue homogenates have not been tested but may potentially be used as samples. Detection Range: 0.313-20ng/ml Sensitivity: <0.188ng/ml Precision: Intra-Assay CV: <8% Inter-Assay CV: <10% Assay Principle: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to LTF. Standards and samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells followed by a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to LTF. Streptavidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain LTF, Biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Streptavidin complex will exhibit a change in color.
