| Product Name | Trypsin 1:250 (Porcine) |
| Description | Chromatographically-purified. SDS-PAGE. Certified to be free of porcine parvovirus. Trypsin is a pancreatic serine protease with substrate specificity based upon positively charged lysine and arginine side chains. Trypsin is inhibited by organophosphorous compounds such as diisopropylfluorophosphate and porcine-derived inhibitors. Used in protein sequencing and tissue disassociation. Trypsin: ≥250u/mg Chymotrypsin: ≤75u/mg Endotoxin: ≤1EU/mg Porcine Parvovirus (Hemagglutination, PCR): None Detected Ash: ≤2.5% Moisture: ≤5.5% Microbiological Analysis: Plate Count: ≤1000cfu/g Yeast/Mold: ≤10cfu/g P. aeruginosa: None Detected in 25g Salmonella: None Detected in 25g E. coli: None Detected in 25g S. aureus: ≤10cfu/g Unit Definitions: Trypsin: The amount of enzyme which causes an increase in absorbance at 253nm of 0.003 per minute at 25°C Chymotrypsin: The amount of enzyme which causes an decrease in absorbance at 237nm of 0.0075 per minute at 25°C. |
