| Applications | Western Blot. WB: Predicted molecular weight: 68 kDa. An antibody raised against a similar peptide has been shown to react with a broad 80kD band in rat striatum and not cerebellum. The 80kD band comigrates with rat DAT labeled with an affinity ligand 125I-DEEP. The 80kD DAT band can be competed with the immunizing peptide. The same 80kD band (125I-DEEP labeled) can also be immunoprecipitated using the antiserum. Rat DAT contains various carbohydrate moieties and neuramnidase and N-Glycanase treatment reduces it size to 55kD. |
